Men's Ministry
Join us at the Upper Room COGIC as we form a community of mighty men who love God, family, and ministry.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
- Jesus is, and always will be, Lord;
- God’s Word should be preached without hesitation;
- our senior statesmen have sage wisdom to share; and
- men should be men and that testosterone is welcome here.
HOW WE DEFINE A BIBLICAL MAN
- is of honest report, and full of the Holy Ghost (Acts 6:3);
- has a dedicated prayer life (1 Timothy 2:8);
- desires nothing but God’s Truth (Psalm 119:11); and
- displays a genuine love for his wife while actively strengthening his marriage (Ephesians 5:25).
We are considered “qualified men” when we become men of prayer, men of worship, men of praise, men of pride, men of passion, and men of purpose.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE GOD AND OTHERS
Upper Room’s Man Down ministry seeks to meet the physical and spiritual needs of men who’ve hit a low point in life. We do it by building relationships with men’s shelters and providing men with clothing and furniture. We also meet their spiritual needs via Bible studies. The result is that the men involved realize how important they are to their communities, their families, and the next generation of leaders.

Upper Room’s Men’s Out-Reach ministry encourages men to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ while becoming men of strength, character, and leadership. The goal is to draw men, women, and children into a redemptive relationship with Christ.
Much like Jesus cared for the family of Lazarus at the time of his death, Upper Room’s Sick and Shut-In ministry seeks to support our brothers and sisters in Christ who are dealing with sickness or death. We do this by sending thoughtful cards, providing physical and monetary assistance, and offering hospitality visits.
