UPPER ROOM COGIC Generation NOW
Generation NOW is an Upper Room COGIC’s ministry program for young people. Its mission is to equip young men and women with the tools they need to become God’s representatives on Earth, fully prepared to stand on God’s Truth in any situation and at any given moment.
Here are the Generation NOW programs that Upper Room offers our young people:
Thursday Night Teaching
Teens up to 18 years old join together each Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Upper Room to experience God’s word in a whole new light. In addition to the fellowship all young people need, our teens are encouraged and empowered through engaging activities, thought-provoking discussions, and Bible-based teachings. The result is a group of spiritually vibrant young people who are critical thinkers and wise decision makers.
Children’s Church
During the 8 a.m. service, our youth 4-11 years old participate in children’s church. Fully synced with our “God First” message heard by adults and seniors in the sanctuary, this program teaches children what it means to experience the presence of God. Parents are overjoyed that our children’s church teaches their sons and daughters how to live their lives according to the Word of God.
Male Academy
Upper Room’s Male Academy trains boys 8-12 years old how to become the Spirit-filled leaders God calls them to be. They learn the foundational principles of God’s Word, as well as the vitally important social skills they’ll need to succeed in today’s society.
Men of Valor
The young men ages 13 and up who attend our Men of Valor meetings learn what it means to take their rightful place as Christ-following Kingdom leaders. Each member is taught to unabashedly stand on the Word of God while becoming selfless servants within their family, school, and community.
Girls of Destiny
Our Girls of Destiny group is made up of young ladies in the making. Aged 12 and under, these girls develop positive relationships with each other as they celebrate their unique God-given abilities. All the while, their focus is on heavenly things as they discover God’s purpose for their lives.
Ladies of the Kings’ Court
Young ladies who are 13 years and older are the focus of our Ladies of the King’s Court. These soon-to-be women of the Word are encouraged to live a holy, sanctified, and wisdom-filled life. They bond together as they learn how to become the examples God desires them to be.
Youth Evangelism
It’s time for our young people to shine! Upper Room’s youth evangelism program is fueled by the belief that today’s youth are the light of the world. The result is a tightly knit community of young believers intent on sharing Christ wherever they go.
